08 Jan Develop your Optimal Self
The term self-optimization is frequently used in autonomic systems and self optimizing settings. In cellular communications technology, self-optimization is a process in which the system’s settings are autonomously and continuously adapted to the traffic profile and the network environment in terms of topology, propagation and interference. Within this context, this term is defined by the ability of a system to complete automatic adjustments to repair detected problematic functioning.
The human body, at the cellular level, works in a very similar fashion. Our physiological system is set up to detect damage and it has the ability to continuously repair it while adapting to the environment and lifestyle to which the body is exposed. What we call symptoms are signals our bodies are sending us to inform what needs our attention and action.
We live in a society where we are constantly exposed to environmental factors that threaten the optimal functionality of the human body. Lifestyle choices around nutrition, physical activity, and behavioral interactions all contribute to the efficacy with which our bodies repair DNA damage. It is our responsibility to make lifestyle choices that facilitate our bodies with what it needs during these intricate physiological processes.
POG is highly invested in the promotion of psychological and physiological wellness. Growth and self-optimization rapidly increases once we are able to function at optimal levels. Nothing fuels optimization like having the motivation and the discipline to make healthy choices. Nutrition, exercise, relationships, knowledge-acquisition, professional/mental stimulation… these are all areas that will be explored in upcoming posts.
As scientific research and personal data from trials and errors is discussed, maintaining an open mind will be crucial in order to shake up your mental constructs. The end goal is to help you establish routines and healthy habits to create a lifestyle that promotes the achievement of your maximum potential.
